I'm fairly new to the game and I have a few questions. My character in game is "Kelli Scarlet." Firstly, I'd like to join a guild that has some helpful mates in it. I was invited to join one while fighting at Fort Charles one day, and quickly discovered that nobody in the guild seems interested in helping a new person figure things out.

Secondly, my character is at level 10, my weapons are all at level 5, my sailing is level 7, and I haven't had a chance to level up my cannons. I have been running around at Fort Charles all morning fighting lvl 14-18 soldiers and it's not even giving me a single point towards leveling up. Where do I need to go to continue leveling up?

Sidenote: I am currently only a basic access member, and have completed the voodoo doll quest, the tortugan totem quest, and as much of the Black Peral story quest as I can while on basic access.

Ok, talked to a POTC Online person who said I'm experiencing the basic access skill, weapon level cap.

Still interested in joining the guild though.

I suggest buying the game, and until you do try looking for quests you can do while ur still a basic. umm... you can even create another pirate in ur wait time.

I would already have given in to the unlimited if I were not totally broke at the moment. I'm rather looking forward to this coming weekend when us poor basic access fools will get to have a taste of full access.

I agree, I'm only basic access right now too cuz I'm broke. lol. I hope they will open up more of the main story line and not knock us back to where we were before the free weekend. That would really suck.... and I hope we can keep any skills we unlock.... like if I was unlimited I could go see Elizabeth and unlock the daggers... That's one of the first things I plan on doing in the free weekend. lol.

The war sloop is my main goal. I'll probably send my son away to my mothers for the weekend so I can be glued here all weekend, getting as far with the quests as possible.

lol. I told my parents that I was not going to be leaving my room except for potty breaks and food. HaHa.

you can keep the ships. but all the weapons and clothes and jewlerey and tats get locked back up, as a way to make u buy the game again... i lost unlimited when i was at level 35 and got the most suckie reps ever... and since my dolly and sword were mastered.... all i had to use was my level 21 pistol... not fun. but i gave in again and waited till i got my new card (which had expired so no money) and bought the game again... its worth the money i think... especially if u play all the time like we do lol..
